I'm so glad you got my letter!! :)
I'm so proud of my boy!! Can't believe he's already in Florida! Off to amazing things for sure! I'm glad you were able to get together and celebrate for a little while! Nothing says congrats like Lou's :) How awesome would that be to skype all together for Christmas!! So exciting! I can't believe how fast it's coming, I can't wait to see all of ya! I read an article in the liahona that I want Chris to print and read, it's called Uncommon Boys by Elder LeGrand Richards. It's just as awesome as he is! :D
Ya! It's a great area, definitely growing on me as I get settled, just takes me a little while to get comfortable so I'm working on it. But I love the people and the work here too. People are just so afraid of commitments, it makes progress really slow but it's okay. Progress is progress and it's better they take the time to do it right! We've been soooo busy! So many meetings with conference coming up, we had a meeting just with hermanas and it was great! Looked at cute outfits because Hna Borg thought it would be fun then had a few talks and lunch. Then the Women's Conference was great too! So weird seeing so many gringas in one place!! Haha.
A is still excited for her baptism on the 5th! Yay! Little does she know the water's cold... haha ;) W and P are still moving forward too, little by little! They're so sincere in their desires to make the right choice and live up to it once they make it, I have a lot of respect for them. We've got a long list of people we're getting ready for the temple on the 14th! I can't wait!! Hermana M. is my favorite, she always gives us huge hugs and calls us hijita (little girl - more like sweetheart/honey) and mamita (little momma), I love feeling so loved!
I realized yesterday that I'm finding I really love viejitos (The elderly)! Not sure if that's weird but for some reason I get along really well with my viejitos and viejitas. Maybe I'm just an old lady at heart. Haha :) And the little kids here are ADORABLE! They remind me so much of all the chaos of home. There are a few little girls, C and M, who literally attack us when they see us with huge hugs, then they hang on us for a while. They're so cute!
I had a dream about you guys!! Momma, you came to Peru at the end of my mission and I was showing you around, then we were all together and it was amazing!! <3
Daddio you're the best!! I'm so proud of you guys and how you always take great care of each other. Even when one of them *cough cough* is being a huge pain in the butt! And I'm glad you were able to find my letter! I worked hard on that! Haha :) I thought about translating it then I thought, nahhh more fun for you guys! Sorry for my crappy grammar, I'm sure there are all sorts of mistakes! But it's the message that matters :)
I'm so loved, you guys are the best :D Thanks for the blog posts!
Muah! I hope you find some peace this week! Don't forget to smile :) You are loved and watched over and I'm working hard here for you guys! All your crazy hard work will pay off and you'll be able to continue seeing the Lord's hand in your lives!
Elder Holland is the best, that's one of the ones I printed for my notebook. I didn't have time to add quotes earlier (“Every one of us has times when we need to know things will get better. … My declaration is that this is precisely what the gospel of Jesus Christ offers us, especially in times of need. There is help. There is happiness. … Don’t you quit. You keep walking. You keep trying. … It will be all right in the end. Trust God and believe in good things to come. … Some blessings come soon, some come late, and some don’t come until heaven; but for those who embrace the gospel of Jesus Christ, they come.”), but I love the one that's something like ¨As we go forward with faith, the Lord will make much more of your life than you can. Your testimony will grow and you will find pure joy and happiness as you come to know your Father in Heaven and the Savior and as you feel their love for you.¨And another I really like, ¨When you feel like you're drowning, don't worry. Your lifeguard walks on water.¨ :D
Wisdom from Nat: Don't forget the small and simple things, go back to the basics when you're overwhelmed. The gospel isn't supposed to be complicated! Reading the scriptures every day, keeping a prayer in your heart and being obedient are the best ways to get the answers we need. I've learned here so much about the Atonement and how it carries us not only for mistakes but for our shortcomings. We literally can't do everything by ourselves, it's impossible. But with the Savior, we can definitely overcome anything life throws at us. Even Emmie ;)
Les amo con todo lo que tengo!
